The Hambro Arms located in the picturesque Milton Abbas is approx 2 miles from the cottage. Turn left out of the drive, and follow the road to Milton Abbas. This unique thatched pub is full of old world character and charm and is one of our favourite places to eat and drink.

THE ROYAL OAK
The Royal Oak in Milborne St Andrew is a traditional village pub serving good homemade food. Voted the best Sunday lunch in Dorset! Located 3 miles away.

THE GREYHOUND
The Greyhound is a traditional pub which also features a village shop which supplies lots of local produce. Located in Winterborne Kingston which is 3 miles away.

FOX INN AT ANSTY
The Fox Inn is a quintessential old English Inn with a twist of modernity. Specialising in local Dorset Ales and good food, this is another of our favourites! Located 8 miles away in Ansty but worth the drive.

LANGHAM WINE ESTATE & VINEYARD
The wonderful Langham Wine Estate & Vineyard is located just 5 miles from the cottage and is a fabulous place to visit. They offer tours, hold many events and have a lovely cafe situated in a charming barn next to the vines, which is perfect for a lunch date. They also recommend that you dress for the weather when visiting the café. on cooler days the barn is fitted with infrared heaters and blankets are available too. Check their website for opening hours and times as they do vary in the winter and summer months and booking is essential.

KEYNESTON MILL
Keyneston Mill - Botanical Gardens & Bistro and Home of Parterre Fragrances - is a wonderful place to visit where you will find a contemporary Bistro set in a relaxed environment. This is also the creative home of Parterre fragrances and you can explore the botanic gardens and surrounding 50-acre estate where they grow, harvest and distil unusual plants and ingredients for luxury perfumes. There is also a perfume exhibition. The Mill is situated 7 miles from here in Tarrant Keyneston. Booking would be essential for lunch dates, certainly in holidays and busier months of the year.

THE WALLED GARDEN
The Walled Garden is a beautiful 5 acre landscaped formal garden situated in Moreton, 9 miles away. It has an on-site cafe, garden shop, children’s play park and animal rescue centre and it is FREE!
Also well known for its association with T.E Lawrence, also known as Lawrence of Arabia who is buried in Moreton Church Yard. There is also a lovely little stream which is very popular in this village with families, to go paddling on a hot day.
