About the cottage
We can’t wait to welcome you to our newly renovated cottage, it’s charming, cosy and the perfect getaway for anyone wanting a break in Dorset. We’ve retained many of the original features, such as the inglenook fireplace (great to cosy up by on chillier days) but we’ve added all the mod cons you’ll need to ensure your stay is comfortable and welcoming. We live next door, but promise we won’t get in your way but will be on hand if you need us.
“Thank you for an amazing stay in your beautiful cottage. We could not stop admiring the small details that you have put thought into. I came away with my mum and sister to celebrate mum’s birthday and your cottage was filled with lots of love and laughter and special memories. We will definitely be back.”
The S Family – April 2022
“We have had the most wonderful stay in this beautiful cottage. The hamper was very much appreciated. I just love everything about “Little Dorset Cottage”. We look forward to returning next year for a longer stay. Thank you for sharing this beautiful cottage with us.”

Discover Dorset
Winterborne Whitechurch is situated in the Winterbourne Valley at the point where the stream intersects the road between Dorchester and Blandford Forum and lies five miles south of the latter. It’s thought that the village, which appears in ancient documents by the Latinate “Winterburn Albi Monasterri” or the old French “Winterburn Blancmustier”, is so named because its church was built of stone rather than wood.
We have many charming little villages around us that are well worth a visit such as Milton Abbas, Milborne St Andrew, and Dewlish. We are just 16 miles from the Jurassic Coast, one of the finest stretches of coastline in Europe, connecting the picturesque port town of Exmouth, East Devon, to the seaside resort of Studland Bay here in Dorset. Between these two counties are a series of breathtaking beaches, coastal villages and natural rock formations that are well worth visiting.
